This was the sunset on Tuesday evening from the Ferry Wharf on PEI side which is called Woods Island. It was a very hot and humid day but this sunset was worth it. There are some grey cranes in the picture as well which are just so elegant and when you watch them, your problems seem to just drift away! We landed in PEI on Tuesday morning and drove up to Crowbush. (have you ever driven with 2 guys going to a golf tournament, believe me, it is not for the faint of heart) And they say women are worse when they are going shopping. Don't think so. We had the car installed GPS and then our first GPS we bought mounted to the windshield, both of them talking (the GPS' not the men) and what do they use to navigate with. A paper map! I swear I saw so many back roads of PEI and potato fields. Did see a gorgeous bald eagle which I think made up for the jolts my backside took in the back seat!
We landed at Crowbush and they went to play golf, I explored part of the coast line up to St.Peters which was picturesque, had a yummy meal of home-made cut and cooked PEI potatoes, did some touristy shopping and then went back to the resort and to the beach. Yesterday, we explored Charlottetown - went to Cows, the t-shirts are always a good giggle http://www.cows.ca/ If you click on the link, you can see for yourself. Came home on the 6 o clock ferry in time to get the house cooled back down again. We are having a heat wave here in NS, today is even hotter than yesterday if you can believe that. Tropical storm on the way! Hope you enjoyed hearing about my trip.
