Fargocat Shops is Getting a New Look!

The Eureka bridge is completed and now I am doing some renovations of my own!
The Shop will be closed this week for a new paint job and some re-organization!
Orders for lots of new products are expected later this week, early next week and
I think you will be happy when you see what's coming in! Lots of new embossing folders and new dies. The latest House Mouse designs, bakers twine and new pearl pens in different colours! Keep watching for a post when I am all done! My goal is Friday but may have to light a match under hubbie to get him moving! So excited, guess what colour I am painting!!.......

Another Day - A New Card With New Products!

On the white background is a new release fade (embossing folder) by Tim Holtz
called Fancy and Floral which I think is beautiful.  I added the newest Spellbinder
Grommet Tags for the Thinking of You.  And the big newest "Find"  I created the pearls on each side of the Thinking of You myself.  Seriously you have to have this new product.  It is made by Viva Decor and it is called a Pearl Pen. I am ordering in more of each colour. I only have Ice White at the moment. But it works exactly as the directions and video claim.  It makes perfect rounded pearls in seconds. Even my cat could do it.

The Royal Wedding!

Any plans for tomorrow?  I will be getting up at 5 a.m. (I think that is
the correct time to start watching for the bride).  Have my favourite biscuits made to start my TV watching with a nice cup of tea and buttered raisin scone or two.
I missed Diana's wedding.  I am looking forward to seeing her dress and flowers!

This is my favourite scone recipe.  It is easy to make and you can also
make it into a round loaf.  Email me if you would like the recipe.

Happy Easter! 1 Year Anniversary Starts May 1st

I hope there is a Chocolate Easter bunny in your future today!  Mine is sitting on a shelf just waiting to have its ears bitten off!  My favourite is milk chocolate, my husband likes dark.  So I don't have to share!  We even have a really wild bunny running around our house (outside) and 3 deer come daily to eat the bird seed and new growth on the bushes.  It is a mama dear and her 2 babies from last year.  She continually tries to make them stop following her, she runs them off from time to time.  Guess she knows when they have to learn to forage on their own.  They are pretty cute!

May 1st marks the start of my online store and in house shop.  I will be having some great specials so watch the blog and shop site for the list.  I can tell you all Glue Dots will be $3.00 a box and once my UPS boxes arrive with the rest of my stock, I can put together some creative packages that I hope you will like!

Back from Toronto - Lots of Excited Crafters

The Creativ Festival was a Smash and I know everyone enjoyed shopping at my booth.
Standing room only a few times each day!  For those of you locally, most of everything arrived home except all of my scrapbook paper.  If you planned on dropping by to look for new paper, it will not be here until later this week.  Just give me a call first.
I have started unpacking and should have the shop back in order by Wednesday.
Please bear with me as it is a big job.  Especially as I am a bit creaky!  Lots of carrying and toting without the benefit of my husband to help out has left me a little achey!  But enough of my complaining.  If you need anything, just call or if you drop by, we can definitely locate what you are looking for!

What's Going On at Fargocat Shops This Week!

Lots of new papers arrived last week that were ordered specially for the Crop, still some beautiful papers left over.  Also, a few odds and ends of stamps and brand new 12 x 12 cardstock.

Cardstock is now .60 cents a sheet for 12 x 12.  I am excited about going to the Creativ Festival in Toronto on April 15 - 16th which means a lot of items will be packed up and taken with me to sell at my booth in Toronto.  Looking for something in particular, make sure you drop out before Friday of this week as I will be packing up starting on Friday and shipping stock to Toronto.  Or call to hold something.  All Martha Stewart punches will be shipped for the show.  Also Copic markers will be going as well.

Flowers to Brighten Your Day!

I loved these flowers as soon as I saw them and ordered them in lots of
different colours.  They are paper, crushable but still retain their shape.
Perfect for scrapbook pages and cards.  I used one on my Mothers Day Card.

Just in - Some Prima Trinkets!

Spring is in the air and this week has been very busy at Fargocat Shops!  Lots of people in to see the latest stamps, inks, paper and accessories.  Planning for the Spring Crop on April 1 - 3 in Port Hawkesbury.  And my latest news is I am headed to the Creativ Festival in Toronto in April.  All of my friends in Toronto, hope you will come out and visit.  Watch for more news on this to come and sneak peaks of what you will be able to purchase.  Here are the Prima Trinkets that arrived, have some others as well!

La Blanche Silicone Stamps

The hit at CHA was a brand new Company "La Blanche".  Their line of silicone stamps were the talk of the show.  I was able to order in some images before their line was completely sold out.  Yvonne and I watched the designer complete a couple of cards and she was using a specialty paper and coloring the images in with cut and dry nibs and distress ink.  They are extremely heat resistant and you can actually pour hot UTEE over them!

Kaisercraft's Newest Line from CHA Winter 2011

Kaisercraft's booth at CHA was beautiful, the Aussies have a way of making you feel like sitting down and having a cuppa tea with them.  I ordered in Magic Happens as it reminded me of Disney World and lots of little princesses decked out in bling and pink and mauve. Yvonne and I fell in love with their wooden decor accents and I ordered in a few things to have fun with.  Here are the projects that inspired me to order in this line along with some items from the Bubblegum collection that reminded me of Easter.  All items are now in stock.

Yeah, My Boxes have Arrived!

When I left the US, I had to ship back 7 boxes of product back to me as everything would not fit in the car.  It arrived today along with my Ranger order.  The Ranger order does not contain everything I ordered but a nice selection of Tim Holtz products and lots of other new treats.  Now I can get started!!

Back From Florida!

We arrived home late last night in Pictou County.  What a welcome, where did all this snow come from!  I won't be open for business until next Monday, March 7, as I have to get my house back in order from being away for so long.  Lots of cat hair as you can imagine plus we have to get our driveway opened up a bit.  I did bring lots of new products back with me so I will be posting some items as I get unpacked.

New Ranger Product - Distress Stain

The picture is from my workshop which was very fast paced.  I am holding the box we created with Tim, he signed it for me.  We also created 3 other boxes, which were basically frames and hollow underneath.  With Tim's box, we applied the new Distress Stain all around the sides of the frame.  This is a great product and I have ordered in all of the colours.  Here are the details.

Available in 12 Distress palette colors, the Distress Stain comes in 1 oz bottles with a dabber top, similar to walnut ink many scrappers and stampers may have used. Distress Stain is a water-based dye that soaks into porous surfaces like paper. It’s not blendable like the Distress Ink pads are. In CHA demos, Holtz showed its usability for covering large areas (like a tag background) with color and for creating soft ink effects, like a watercolor look, with stamping.

You will love these and the price point is $5.00  Now back to ordering!

La Blance Stamps - A Refreshing Addition to Stamping

Yvonne and I totally agreed that the hit of CHA was a small stamp display called "La Blanche".
The stamps are all white and made of silicone, light as a feather but durable and stand up to any distressing you can throw at them.  The designer artist was stamping the image in black on this fabulous non coated paper and using resist techniques.  The stamps are extremely heat resistant and they can be used with Archival Ink, VersaFine ink pads and also with StazOn ink.  She coloured in the images using small Ranger Cut and Dry nibs.  I know you will enjoy these stamps and I have ordered in the following images.  Prices will be reasonable.  I will have some pictures to post as well.  I cannot wait to do a class with you with these.  It is going to be so much fun, just in time for Easter with the bunny!

I am getting the rest of my orders placed as there are deadlines.  Placed Ranger order today with his new dies, stamps and folders.  Also new stains, stickles and some other new cool products.  I will start posting tomorrow with pictures and if you see something you like, you can put your name on it.  I have enough time to order in more products if you see something, someone else snagged!

A Day Of Classes

I started the day off with a Ranger Class taught by Tim Holtz, Claudine Hellmuth and 2 other talented Ranger Presenters.  We completed 4 projects and received a ton of free product.  Yvonne did a Tattered Angels Class which she enjoyed as well.  Next was Flower Soft for me, 4 card project using some new card fronts, cute.  Yvonne bedazzled her hand sanitizer container in a class by Jolenes, not a winner! (LOL)  She can definitely locate it in her purse, however.

I went to a wonderful Canadian Workshop in the afternoon for 2 hours and was thrilled to find so many Cdn products that I will be bringing into my Shop.  Yvonne took a mini album class  by Punky Sprouts and a couple of other companies.  Then we went to a new product room to see the newest hot items.

Mini burgers, pizza were on for the free reception food with brownies to die for.  It is now 6 p.m. and we have one last class.  Mine is Hero Arts which was 4 neat cards with lots of techniques.  Yvonnes was
a Sissix class.  Mine finished early and I waited for her.  Yvonne comes out of her class toting a fabulous
prize, a NEW BIGSHOT!!  Yeah Yvonne!  My turn next!

It is now 11:39 p.m,., time to turn in, big day ahead tomorrow!  Hopefully some pictures!
